BombusThis symposium will invite us to explore the relationship of man, animals, and plants; to study the interdependency and the beneficial roles they have for each other; to study new methods of cohabitation; and to welcome visionary approaches of other possibilities of urban life incorporating animal and plant life.
It is time we get together for this purpose: International symposium #03 exchanges LivingBeingsintheCity, sharing the space, living together, towards other possibilities… will take place on 2011 November 18thand 19th, in VetAgro Sup Campus in Marcy-l’Étoile – Greater Lyon.
It is organised jointly by Greater Lyon, VetAgro Sup and the University of Lyon, advised by a Multidisciplininary Scientific Committee, chaired by Michel Lussault, Geographer, Chairman of the PRES (Pôle de Recherche de l’Enseignement Supérieur de Lyon – Lyon Higher Research and Teaching Centre). This third symposium is one of the accredited events of World Veterinary Year (250th anniversary of the first Veterinary). This international event is an ambitious project aimed to assemble speakers from different fields of specialization (i.e., scientists, project promoters, city professionals) from Saõ Paulo to Lyon via Curitiba, Brussels, Detroit and London to study other ways of sharing the space and living together in the city.
